Case study: Luminotherapie

One of our favourite parts of doing business is helping people turn their dreams into reality. This fun interactive art installation in 2016 was no exception.

Impulsion is a lifesize interactive art piece of 30 seesaws in various sizes on display at the Quartier des Spectacle (Places des Festivals). When passers by sit on each end, the seesaw lights up and plays beautiful sounds. The intensity of the light changes as the seesaw moves up and down.

This installation was made of Lexan(R) Polycarbonate, is weather resistant for cold montreal winters, and is able to withstand the bouncing of both children and adults. Polycarbonate has good electrical properties and superior impact strength, making it the perfect material for this project. From a manufacturing standpoint, it’s an ideal material as it can be drilled without cracking and can be cold-formed.
