Canadian’s are often quietly patriotic…except when Canada Day comes around! We wave flags from our patios, we wear Canada flag temporary tattoos on our faces, and we eat and celebrate with family and friends.
The Plastifab family is taking a break today to enjoy the local festivities with our families. Here are some of our favourite ways to celebrate:
We eat: There are many Canadian favourites we like to eat including poutine, Nanaimo bars, ketchup chips, and Coffee Crisp chocolate bars. We may even take in a local pancake breakfast with fresh maple syrup!
We drink: Many of us partake in a glass of ice wine, a Moosehead Lager, a maple whisky, a Cesar cocktail, or any beverage that is red and/or white!
We socialize: The Canada Day long weekend is a popular one for travellers and many Canadians head to their cottage or cabin, or across the country to spend time with family and friends.
We rest: Some use the Canada Day long weekend to rest up after a busy school year, and busy spring, and to get ready before the final sprint to the end of 2019!
We watch fireworks: Capping July 1 off with a fireworks show is a great way to both end the long weekend and kick-start the summer season!
We’ll be taking a break today to eat, drink, socialize, rest, and watch fireworks. How will you be spending your weekend?
